Well, moved on and found another great tool. I especially like ‘Library Thing’ as a way of tracking books I read. When you are able to make a comment on whether you loved, liked, or disliked the book is great. It sure is easy enough to access and check the books in the past as well as the future. My problem is I would like to add every book I have every read – I know --- it is impossible.

Lesson 5 gives us a list of hundreds of ‘Image Generators’ to play around with and we have to pick just ONE. I find it difficult to do. I just have to pick two.
This is alot of fun.

The URL for this 'Image Generator' of Photo frame:
I do not know about anybody else but I must have tried at least twenty or thirty of them just to see what happen. Do we have to move on to the rest of these lessons? [I am just kidding.] Because I am having too much fun just between ‘Flickr’, ‘Image Generators’, and ‘Library Thing’ which I took a peek at.

Flickr {continued}
By signing up with BigHugeLabs, I was able to have a little bit of fun by using the Warholizer, Mosaic Maker, and Bead Art. It was easy enough to use the photos I had uploaded to my Flickr account. I think I could get alittle carried away with these options. I will have to go back to BigHugeLabs and play with some of the other toys, games, and utilities they have available. I could real have fun with some of my pictures from the Flathead Lake area.

Well, I have gotten this far in Flickr. This is a picture of all the work going on in Technical Services at the present time. I sometimes think we may be a little overworked [but do not tell the Director]. I am not sure what is next but for now I have to give my brain a rest. Maybe I will have something to rejuvenate my brain and get back to this later.

I decided to STOP back up and take my time in continuing with these lessons. I am the kind of person that when I have to assemble something I look at the picture and put it together. After I have it assembled, I go back and read the directions. It would be quicker and easier if I read and follow the directions at the beginning.
7 ½ Lifelong Learning Habits
7 ½ Lifelong Learning Habits
You could say I had the end with a GOAL in mind when I began this project which is the first of the 7 ½ lifelong learning habits. Now I guess I should settle down and learn the rest of the learning habits at my speed instead of trying to get ahead of or keep up with others taking this online course.
RSS
RSS
Therefore, I backed up and looked at lesson 3. I was actually enjoying the search for some of the bloglines in RSS that I subscribed to. You could say it is a variety of things. It includes fellow students’ feeds, work related, and just plain fun things I thought I might like to discover on my own time.
What I really like about RSS is the information is closer to you. By making, your own choices it can save the searching through the thousands of websites. It is almost like having your own private ‘coffee klatch’ readily available.
I can see RSS being a real advantage in the Reference area of the library especially when the schools have a class project related to a specific area of study. It might be easier to pull up an RSS feed for links available for the students than to do a search that comes up with the thousands of sites.

Well the blog ‘zia testa rossa’ was established and moving right along I have begun work on my next lesson - Flickr. I have read it over and now have to give it some thought as to what I really would like to do. I have all kinds of things running around in my mind, but for now back to the tour of Flickr Learn More.

Just Getting Started
Well I have finally come to the point where I can play on the computer, and enjoy some of the fun things that have been set up for this online class.
Up to this time, I was involved with another project. Just making it home after work and not sitting down and falling asleep was my objective.
I kept hearing some of my co-workers talking about setting up their blog and the names they decided to use for a blog name. It took a lot of thought and research to come up with the name I decided to use for my blog. With the help of family and a language specialist, I finally decided on.
Zia testa rossa
It does physically describe me to some extent. I will leave it to those who are curious enough to figure it out.
